LOL astronomy! I have a giant telescope in my dining room belonging to a kid who is a film major. I've been wondering about its fate! I'm sure there is a connection between people who are good at math and love the stars, and people who make movies and love the arts, and people who have the innovative genius to run businesses! Rainbows fit in there somewhere, I believe....

Thank you!! He is studying business. I guess he wants to run a small business in honolulu. We were kind of pushing astronomy but it was a no go! He wrote his essay on the application about rainbows so they probably couldn’t resist accepting him!

I love this tale! And PLEASE share the link to your story when it comes out, can't wait!

(I've left my dolls out for weeks! My usual excuse is that Girls Day is on April 4 in some areas...although I have gone past April 4 also!)

I always leave them out until Easter because it’s such a celebration of Spring! I caught a terrible cold been in bed with a fever all day but my son got accepted at UH so he’s going to be a rainbow warrior!

Yoshie brought back a new gin from Kyoto, Ki no Bi, and there is still snow on the ground here, so this evening I will drink a glass of Kyoto gin, in a bowl of snow, and reread this slowly.

I love their gin! My favorite is the green tea blend… enjoy the beautiful snow. By the way, this is a really short but wonderful book! I really recommend this one. https://www.goodreads.com/review/show/4685199604

I remember this very well! The floating lotus cups to accompany poetry . . . And the dolls! Yours are lovely, as is your sashiko. Did Japanese girls have paper dolls? -- although you'd miss the gorgeous textiles. Anyway, dreaming!!!
