Oh, this rendering of the man! Incredible! I'm remembering an accounting made by the Buddhist priest Master Shinjo Ito in which he discusses his first experiences of sculpting. He'd never done it before. But he slowly, patiently, worked in accord with the concrete practice of and the mystery of creating a sculpture of the Buddha. He extended his discussion to say that the materials and tools will teach you what to do. This is a self that is inter-subjective in a way similarly to how you talk about dreaming. At least it seems so to me. Wonderful discussion!
